Tuesday, June 25th – Our AI dedicated event at SixSeven Restaurant
The week kicked off with a spectacular evening at SixSeven Restaurant’s rooftop terrace, where LuxConnect hosted an esteemed gathering of C-level executives from various sectors, alongside notable figures from the public sector. The event started with a warm welcome from our CEO, Paul Konsbruck, followed by a compelling keynote address by Elisabeth Margue, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister for Media and Connectivity.
Another highlight of the evening was the panel discussion featuring industry luminaries:
- Lie Junius, Senior Director, Government Affairs & Public Policy, Google Cloud
- Misch Strotz, CEO and Co-Founder, Neon Internet & LetzAIClaude Seywert, CEO, Encevo
They explored critical topics such as the challenges posed by AI developments in Luxembourg, the evolution of the national electricity grid across Europe, and sovereignty requirements in the digital age. The evening was a resounding success, fostering engaging conversations that underscored the future challenges and opportunities in our sector.
Wednesday, June 26th – Nexus2050 Premier Partner Village
LuxConnect shone brightly as the Premier Partner Village participant at Nexus2050, stationed within the PureTech village in collaboration with our daughter-company LuxProvide. Our strategically positioned stand welcomed a myriad of visitors, facilitating meaningful exchanges with clients, partners, and industry peers.
The day began with a notable visit from H.R.H The Crown Prince of Luxembourg and Lex Delles, Minister of the Economy, SME, Energy, and Tourism, who visited our booth to learn more about Clarence, our innovative joint venture with Proximus, offering a sovereign disconnected cloud solution. It was an honor to showcase Clarence alongside key stakeholders, including Paul Konsbruck, CEO of LuxConnect, Gerard Hoffmann, CEO of Proximus Luxembourg, and Pascal Rogiest, General Manager of Clarence.
In the afternoon, we also had the chance to receive the esteemed visit of Stéphanie Obertin, Minister for Digitalisation, and Patrick Houtsch, Director at CTIE, on our booth.
The event continued with insightful conferences, notably featuring Paul Konsbruck’s keynote on empowering sovereignty through high-performance computing and future data infrastructure. The panels, including distinguished speakers like Pascal Rogiest, General Manager of Clarence, Filipe Pais, CCSO of LuxProvide, and Kurt Rommens, Head of Sector Benelux at Google Cloud Public, explored critical themes around data sovereignty in digital infrastructure, sparking enriching dialogue throughout the day. Arnaud Lambert, CEO of LuxProvide, ended the panel discussion by an inspiring keynote speech.
Thursday, June 27th – Supercomputing Day and Closing Dinner
The concluding day of Nexus2050 featured the Supercomputing Day, where LuxProvide, actively participated, further enriching our engagement with cutting-edge technological advancements.
The week culminated in the Closing Dinner, a perfect finale to a week brimming with networking opportunities and deep dives into the latest industry innovations.
